Germino Club 40 w Master Vol
Germino Club 40 head with MASTER VOL (on back of head). Excellent non-smoking condition. AMAZING Marshall Tones without the flub or mystery fizz. Greg Germino really figured out how to get the best Marshall tone while improving upon the flaws. I have played this through both my vintage Marshall 4-12 and modern Cabs. I have to say it adapts amazingly to speakers, cabs, guitars and even cables.
You can spend $2500 new for this or grab mine that is in Excellent condition…save some dough…and use the savings to tube it up with NOS glass…or buy some fancy cables….or just run out to Five Guys and treat the entire place to burgers.\ Whatever you do…just get this amp because you won’t find a bigger M-style bang for buck at this price point.
Works as it should with no repairs. Happy to answer questions but I’d prefer not to be asked to compare this to every amp on the planet…nor will I measure the thickness of the glass on every tube…nor will I do torque tests on each knob to ensure they are consistent to turn

Chad UNDERWOOD Strat – Celeb Owned

CALLAHAM Telecaster
Impossibly Rare Alert: CALLAHAM Tele! This guitar is impossible to find. Even more amazing is that it has a BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD BOARD. The body is ALDER and the Neck is a perfect ’58 V-to-C measuring a wonderful .86″-.96″. NOT a bat. Just enough meat to help the notes ring out. The color is a Candy Apple Red that has naturally faded over the years.
The Callaham (Lindy Fralin custom) pickups are extremely open sounding in this guitar. This is NOT a dark, muddy tele. This does Rock-to-Country perfectly. Obviously you can dial back the tone knob to get all the Jazz warmth you desire.
This instrument weighs in at just 7-11oz which for a Callaham is featherweight….remember these were made back before every ‘low rent hobbyist’ was asking for weights of pickup screws. Michael Stevens (Co-Founder of the Fender CS) told me the BEST sounding F-style guitars are mid-weight. Here you have one!…and he wasn’t joking.

So let’s get down to it…Builder’s name is Bryan Holloway. For years Bryan has been a major player & builder. Brian works with a major guitar builder and focuses on custom builds for celebs and demanding private clients. His skills have been fine tuned through a friendship & apprenticeship with Larry Wysocki who is one of the most highly regarded builders in the world (Jon Herington of Steely Dan & Steve Kimock of Ratdog to name a few). To set the stage, imagine this…Larry Wysocki is THE industry go-to guy when it comes to woods. Larry has been doing this for 50-years and has the most sought after timber in the world. Larry’s guitars are $8k+ and rarely available on the open market.
I can tell you that I carry the best handmade boutique guitars currently made. This is in the upper echelon of anything I’ve had. Imagine PLAYING a Bentley automobile. Brian Monty BLUESMASTER 2015
2015 Brian Monty “Bluesmaster” in Excellent “-” Condition. This one-owner hand carved masterpiece weighs just 8lb-11oz. It features a hand carved BIRCH TOP & Hand shaped Mahogany Body & Neck. Check out the grain on the BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD BOARD.
The neck profile is a wonderful “C” that measures .87″-.96″. The frets are typical LP style and the scale/width and such are typical LP. The pickups are Peter Florence Voodoo ’59s (non splitting) which I happen to love because of how open they sound.
The guitar features very light aging and a hand sprayed Dark Cherry finish in thin NITRO. There is some prior-owner wear on the instrument most notably some finish edge wear on one edge due to a strap contact point.
If you have experienced Brian Monty’s work you know you just can’t touch this kind of quality and craftsmanship in a GIbson at any price…let alone this price. New, these guitars are bargains…USED they are absolute MUST tries.

CP Thornton Elite Semi – 2014
2014 CP Thornton ELITE Semi. Wonderful hand carved top & back featuring 5A Western Maple Top & Back w b5A Eastern Maple Sides. This masterpiece weighs just 6lb-11oz and comes with its OHSC & Build Sheet. Of course it has lived in a nonsmoking environment and came from its original owner.
New this was $5330 a couple years ago. Used and in this condition it’s a steal. You’re getting an extremely clean instrument (SEE PICTURES FOR COMPLETE SPEC/CONDITION REPORT) and saving almost 1/2. Why buy new?
Check out the ridiculous Honey Burst finish done by hand in Nitro. The neck is made or 5A Eastern Maple and features a .85″-.93″ “C” Profile & a Macassar Ebony Board with 6150 Frets, a 1-11/16″ Width & 12″ Radius. The tuners are my FAVORITE….510….they are smooth and precice and very ergonomic.
The bridge is Faber. The pickups Wolfetone DR Vintage. Hard to pack more quality & hand craftsmanship into anything (especially at this price). You could grab a stramped out Gibson and think you have something special….OR you can snag this and KNOW you have something special
Michael Stevens LJ Goldtop PROTO
What we have here is one of the single best guitars I’ve owned (of the thousands). It was made FOR me in 2007 by Michael Stevens (founder of Fender Custom Shop) in his TX workshop. It is a Prototype for a singlecut trem model. It is absolutely the most musical sounding singlecut I’ve played. This guitar is not to be confused with the team built ‘Fender’ production models that came much earlier. This is a true MICHAEL piece.
For those who follow at home, I’ve sold 28 Stevens guitars. I have vast experience with them and can help you determine if the tonal aspects of this one meet your needs. I can tell you these others won’t hit the market anytime soon and are typically locked away in collections (I put them there..I know). This is a unique opportunity to get one at a discount vs. the price new.
Again, this is hand crafted with hand shaped Honduran Mahogany Soft V Neck with a .88-1.02″ Depth. Just look at the perfect TV finish on the back of this guitar. Michael did this himself..it’s not outsourced like so many other ‘builders’. The board is a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood...again this is good wood not some leftovers that pass as BRW. The headstock overlay is also Brazilian Rosewood. The back of the guitar has a wonderful body contour that makes playing the instrument SO easy sitting or standing. Speaking of comfort, this one weighs in at a perfect 8lb-10oz.
This masterpiece is a tyipical LP Scale. The frets are a tallish-medium size & the neck is 1.70″ in Width. 12″ Radius and Sperzel Locking Tuners (replaced tips). The pickups are not original, I replaced the Lollars with Peter Florence Voodoo 59s (Non-splitting) because I find them more open and clear. Of course the guitar is hand finished in a vintage GOLDTOP with fantastic binding and hand painted knobs. I had Michael add a PRS Sweet Switch to the volume (pull to engage) to add a touch of warmth when needed. I love this mod feature.
Speaking of features, let’s discuss the Trem. It’s called a Skyway. Why did I select it?….simple. It is TOP MOUNTED. Look at the back of the guitar…no wood is missing. Just a touch of wood needs to be removed from the top in order to fit a guitar with one of these. NO spring noise. ALSO, it feels and acts like a fixed bridge. THE most comfortable bridge to rest your palm on…hands down. If you are not a trem guy…no issue…it won’t come into play. If you ARE a trem guy then a SKYWAY is SMOOTH and even. It’s not clunky and choppy. You can bend down and slightly up with ease and precision. VERY innovative and many of the major boutique builders used them at one point before they became impossible to procure.
You can see the conditiion is VG+ with just touches of wear here and there. The guitar comes complete with the original hardshell case. It has lived in nonsmoking environments.

Scala Underdog “Vent Top” 2013
2013 Scala Underdog “Vent Top” with Bare Knuckles Pickups! This handcrafted masterpiece features a unique top venting that allows the organic tone to resonate and mix. Tiny little ‘vents’ are created along the top edge where the top fits into the body. The result is a LP with the effect of a 20%-ES335 tone added. VERY Unique.
These guitars have SOUL and STLE. It features a Long Tenon neck joint to create the utmost in resonance and string energy transfer. It weights in at just 7lb-9oz. The neck is a perfect (for me anyway) “C” profile with .90-.99″ Measurements.
Of couse it comes with its OHSC & Certificate of Authenticity. Nonsmoking prior home. 1-11/16 Nut & Med/Jumbo Frets.

Timbuckers – Set of 2 Humbuckers
Pair of TIMBUCKERS (Tim White) humbuckers. Impossibly rare. Rare set with covers. Not certain what the coil colors are and not going to take covers off to find out so consider it a mystery that only you can solve!
These are out of production. They won’t last long so grab them for your stash. Work as they should.

Sakashta SMOKY SIGNAL Tubeless OD – EL84 Version
Sakashta “Smoky Signal” Tubeless OD pedal & original box! This is the EL84 version. I’ve had all 3 versions and kept this because it adds clarity and a touch of high end; I found the other two versions were slightly darker tonally…this worked MUCH better with my Marshalls.
I’ve literally had many hundreds of pedals through my store. I always try them out because it’s a blast. I maintain a library of old amps & guitars to test things with. I can tell you I have 3 OD pedals (this is the 3rd)….Klon, TS808 and this. This gets you from gritty to punchy. The dial on the left side of the pedal is the most useful of almost any dial on any pedal. It is almost like focusing a lens on a camera. The knob allows you to dial in just the right amount of grit vs. od. Think of it like perfectly biasing a tube amp or intonating a guitar. It isn’t so much a gain knob as it is a continuum of power tube distortion to preamp.
I have to say if I used pedals I’d keep this. I just don’t use them because I play at home and have tonal variation through the amps. I keep the Klon & TS808 because customers ask me to test gear using them.
I have never seen another. This pedal is worth the price. You have had flavors of OD….get what feels like ‘the great translator” pedal.
Homestead 50 Combo – 2017 2-12″ Version
Homestead Amps are handmade in Pennsylvania by a deciple/apprentice of Cesar Diaz. This amp is handwired and each component selected by the builder to voice it to perfection. Even the speakers were selected by the builder to allow the organic tone of the amp to be recreated in any room.
This amp is a simple platform LOADED with features. The volumes and tone knobs are pull-enabled to activate different voicings …from looser and more vintage to tighter and more modern. There is a Master Volume AND a 1/2 Power Switch. You can dial this up to amazing tones in an apt or use it on stage.
I had a hard time getting a bad sound out of this. It literally loved every guitar I put through it from P90s to Tele to Hums to Strat….vintage to modern.
This is 6L6 loaded. It is a one-owner piece from a nonsmoking environment. The owner literally went and worked with the builder to get this one perfect during the build process. It was a true custom build. There are no mods or repairs. It has a couple of very tiny covering nicks but is otherwise very clean.
YES IT COMES WITH THE FOOTSWITCH (not pictured but it DOES come with the switch).
New this is $3800…save some real dough on an amp that was only sold because the owner found out he was going to be a dad….ahhhhh….

2007 Gibson Historic ’58RI VOS
2007 Gibson HIstoric 1958 Les Paul RI VOS. I have had lots of LPS but this one sounds totally together with a bottom end that has snap (not mush) and integrates perfectly with the mids and highs. Excellent “-” Nonsmoking Condition with the Original Gibson Hardshell Case and Cert & Case Candy/Tags. Love the tasteful top and beautiful Cherry Sunburst finish.
This guitar was equally happy through a vintage blackface Fender Deluxe or a Bogner Twin Jet. Tonally it is rare that I find a modern LP smooth and not harsh…this is one of the rare ones. Perhaps it was the Burstbucker 2 & 3 pickups I had installed in it to replace the aftermarket “improvements’ that were in it? Not sure but whatever the reason this is that one that people search for.

Rick Kelly “Danelectro” Style
Impossibly Rare RICK KELLY (Carmine Street) Danelectro-style guitar! These were created in limited quantiies in the 1990s and rarely come up for resale. I’ve had other builders’ variations on this theme and this one sticks out.
Very Good overall condition with some wear spots and nicks that are outlined in the Spec/Condition Sheet (SEE PICTURES – IT IS LOCATED THERE). From a nonsmoking envnironment.
The Lipstick Pickups are amazing. The 5-way slector allows you to really get a unique Strat-type tone. The pickups stay nice and clean making them really perfect for effects use or recording. The body is a Poplar core with Laminate. Maple Neck. 10″ Radius. 25.5″ Scale & 1-11/16″ width. VERY easy to play.
Weighs just 6lb-14oz. Comes with a hard case (not sure if it’s original). Wonderful luithier created instrument for the price of what?…what else can you get for this price?….exactly.
2017 Knaggs SSC Tier-2 “Steve Stevens”
2017 Knaggs Steve Stevens Tier 2 formally called the SSC-T2 for those lusting for labels. Excellent Condition from a 1-owner nonsmoking home. Comes complete with the Original Hardshell formfit case, Cert & Tags. Completely stock including the Bare Knuckles SSC pickups which are OUTSTANDING. They are just so perfect for this instrument. Not brittle like Gibsons can get. This is such a modern take on a classic singlecut style. Hard to put a Steve Stevens model down.

2016 Red Rocket ATOMIC TWO TONE – Sea Glass Sparkle Green
2016 Red Rocket Atomic Two-Tone in Nonsmoking Condition with Original Hardshell Case.
This Sparkle Green “Sea Glass” custom handcrafted piece weighs in at just 7lb-8oz. Red Rocket guitars are made 1-at-a-time. I am not certain I’ve ever seen two the same. 2017 Red Rocket “Dark Matter” Prototype! Stunning KOA Top over Mahogany Body. The woods in this hand created guitar are simply never found in this price range. The design is a brand new one & this particular piece is THE Prototype! It is loaded with features…but any guitar can have stats…THIS one delivers TONALLY AND IN PLAYABILITY. You will find this Red Rocket can hang with guitars costing 2-3x as muchl. Detemple Tele – RARE HUM NECK PU
Ahhh yes…a Unicorn here folks. Custom Detemple Tele with a Mini-Humbucker in the neck position. This is the first like this I’ve had (and I’ve had over 50 Detemples). I specialize in the hardest to find boutique guitars….Lentz…D’Pergo..Detemple….Wysocki….and the others (F-style). Detemples are the ones I love most….why?….OVERTONES. Simple. They have amazing overtones. Every one of these brands is excellent in their own ways. I am uniquely positioned to share my experience with you. I maintain a library of vintage and modern classic amps to allow real world comparisons of guitars to what you will experience.
THIS Detemple is simply a keeper. TOTALLY custom. Mike did a rare neck route for a humbucker and installed a Phoenix Firebird pickup (SOUNDS AMAZING alone & in position 2 w the bridge). Nice warm with highs that come through with snap. The body is a featherweight 1-piece ash ($350 upcharge in 2012). The entire guitar weighs just 7lb-3oz which is one of the lowest weight Detemples I’ve had.
The COLOR is a sick Pablo Blue which is sort of like trans-seafoam-meets-turquoise. AND, Mike created a painted binding in contrasting cream color. ALSO the headstock is in matching colors!. The neck is a Satin Finished 1-pieece Flame Maple jobber with Medium Frets, 1-11/16″ Width, 9.5″ Radius & 510 Open Tuners. The Carve is a Soft V-to-C with a .91-.97″ Depth. No fretwear and smooth fret ends.
The guitar comes with its custom G&G Hardshell Faux Alligator Case. It is from a nonsmoking home nad was lovingly cared for. The ony real issue you have to get comforable with is that the lacquer checked on the body. I’ve had several Detemples check because the finish is very thin. From a few feet away you can’t tell. If you wanted to, you could go all out and have someone relic it or check it more. I love it as it is because it has just that touch of relic look wise but without the scrapes and dirt.
New this guitar would run in the $9ks. You can save some money AND get a guitar that you KNOW sounds like X (I can help wtih this) becuase they all sound different…I have spoken….close the curtain now.
Detemple 1-off TELE-GIB Prototype!
The COOOOOLEST Detemple I’ve had…and I have had 10% of all he has ever made…over 50 at this point. Let me tell you…nothing touches a Detemple for overtones in a F-style guitar. Maybe it’s the way Michael mates necks & bodies during the build process. Maybe it’s the way he has the tightest neck-to-body connection I’ve seen. Maybe it’s the large necks and flame maple? Maybe the 1-piece bodies from select light woods. Maybe it’s the hand shaping?
Michael isn’t just a world class luthier..he is also a world class player who has been on stage touring with some all-time greats. It’s one thing to be a builder…one thing to be a player…but a man who has done both at world class levels brings another dimension of know-how to the table.
Such is the case with this one-off Tele-Gib “Jeff Beck” tribute comissioned by a friend of mine. OHHHH it is a nice one. Has that nice bottom end snap you lust for in a great tele….has that light weight you wish your LP had…..has that wonderful soft V neck you always lusted after. This guitar just shined through every one of my vintage and modern amps in the library. You like gain…come at it…..I threw a Bogner Twin Jet at it and it blew away my supposed ‘shred’ guitars. Princeton Reverb….lush spanky cleans …nice underwond pickups that don’t color or over-push the amp.
