I’ve had about a dozen Echoparks and THIS is the best so far.  What I love is the how light this one is and how it just sounds slightly more alive and more zingy than the others I’ve had.  It just plays SO well.  I find myself able to do things cleanly that I always mess up.   New this was over $7500.   It is in Near Mint condition and comes with it’s original hard case & Cert.

The neck on this guitar is a Med-Rounded (as specified in the included spec sheet).  Typically EP necks can be quite large….if you want a ‘large’ but not ‘ginormous’ neck then don’t sleep on this guitar.  The shape is a wonderful V-to-C with a 12″ Radius and 1-11/16″ Width.  The Frets at Jescar 9055.  The Tuners are Open Back Grover “Pre-War”.

The weight is just 7lb-5oz.  The Body is 1-piece OLD Honduran QUARTER SAWN Mahogany.   The Firebird pickup is freaking the perfect balance between P90-and-Hum.   I believe this is one of the few EPs with an uncovered bridge pickup.  Maybe that’s why it’s slightly more zingy?

One of the lightest DT S Guitars I’ve had at just 7lb-2oz.  This nonsmoking piece is LOADED with titanium.  I believe the Saddles, Block & Backplate are titanium (best guess no promises gents).  Not certain on the truss rod.   This one is alive and has that jangly tone Hendrix lovers crave.   A wonderful V-to-C larger neck profile.  1-piece neck & 1-piece body of course.  These are hand cut to perfection.

In terms of wear, the seller represented it to me as “mint”…I go through these a bit more carefully.  I grade it as Excellent.  VERY light strum surface swirls on the guard.  Maybe one or two very small tiny surface indents (NO not in wood).  The only thing of note is there appears to be some color bleed from the case fur to the finish where there are contact points.  You could really almost miss it if you didn’t look closely.  Nothing on the front.  Just the sides and a touch on the back.  I have discounted the guitar accordingly.

Custom 1-off Ronin made by John & Izzy as a spec piece to demonstrate their craftsmanship and artistic flair.  I was their only Authorized Dealer and took delivery of this new.  One of my favorite all time guitars.   Light weight 8lb-3oz Mahogany/Maple carved top with contoured back for comfort.   Body & Neck bound.  Medium/Jumbo Frets (Stew Mac 154 in case you want to get specific).

The neck carve is a very familiar 59 LP-type “C” shape.  The guitar has the NOS Cap upgrade.  The Ronin Foilbuckers are simply amazing.  You think this piece should sound woofy and tubby like a LP.  In reality it is CLEAR and almost like an amplified acoustic guitar-meets Tele – meets Gretsch – meets P90.  If you are a LP fan but want something quite additive to your collection….then this is the guitar for you.

Just check out that beautiful neck joint.  This piece is lightly aged from the factory.  Very hard to determine if there were any user-generated ages (lol) but I don’t want to have NASA go over the pictures to map each from the original photo to now so we will just go with “Excellent” as the condition.  For those who crave a complete Spec & Condition rundown please see the PICTURES for a spec sheet.2015

2006 PRS Modern Eagle BRAZILIAN.  This Mint “-” Condition collectible comes complete with the Suede Original Hardshell Formfit Case, Tag, Unsigned Warranty Card and Brochure/Candy.   It is from a nonsmoking environment and was not gigged.  You would be hard pressed to find any flaws on this one.

BRAZLIIAN ROSEWOOD NECK & BOARD.  Weighs just 8lb-4oz.  No Fretwear, No dings, No stories.  Collector Quality.  These are increasing in value and the clean ones are being grabbed.  Think of how much just a Braz board increases the value on a stamped out Gibson.  Now wonder what a guitar with a solid Braz neck will be worth down the line.

Lentz Reserve HYDE PARK Double Bound Tele.  This masterpiece was hand created as the Lentz “Top Of The Line” Offering.  It is in from a nonsmoking environment and was not gigged.  Graded as Mint “-“/Exc “+” with almost no wear except for those faint strum marks on the pickguard (that almost every guitar has).

This piece is finished in a thin Nitro lacquer.  The woods are hand selected 25-year cabinet aged.  The 1 piece neck is UBER Flame Maple and has NO CAP for the board (meaning the board IS the neck).  The pickups are custom wound for each instrument.  The guitar features NOS Caps under the hood.  Tone Pros bridge.  Gotoh Tunres.  G&G Hardshell Case all included.

I often say LENTZ guitars are THE standard for the boutique market.  You can search high and low but there isn’t likely another boutique maker on the planet with such universally high marks from users. Lentz guitars have stood the test of time.  THIS is the top of the line for Lentz so just imagine how amazing it is.

FINALLY a genuine Trainwreck that won’t peel your face off.  This is a custom JM Trainwreck from 2015.  This is a low-power Rocket.  Featuring 2-EL84s in the power section (vs. 4 in the full-on Rocket) this little animal captures ALL the essence of what makes a Trainwreck second to none.  First off, you get thick sustaining notes on the verge of feedback.  Second, the amp cleans up by simply rolling back the guitar volume.  This amp has amazing chimes and doesn’t get flabby when opened up.  The sweet spot for this amp is 12 -to- 2 on the volume.  The controls are extremely interactive and work together to sculp your tone.

The amp is extremely responsive to different brands of tubes & speakers.  It is also equally dynamic with LP, Strat or Teles.  If you love a 1-12 or 2-212 this is the head for you.  I also had it powering my 4-12 Vintage Marshall with no problem.

There are lots of imitations but NOTHING like a genuine Wreck.  JM is a master of his craft and has carried on the legacy with pride.  Grab this rare head before it’s gone into a collection and you email me ‘ahhh will the seller part with it”. Cosmetically it just has some surface scratches on the cab.

Ron Thorn makes the highest quality ‘for the money used’ guitars I can find.  These are several steps up from anything in their price range.  NEW they are considerable bargains vs. their peer group (Suhr/Grosh/Gibson/Fender CS).

What I really admire about Ron Thorn is that he creates unique pieces and doesn’t simply pump out the same cherry-sunburst over and over again.  Models, configurations, materials…all vary.  The downside of this model is that when you see one you love JUMP on it becasue there are not more behind it.

This particular one is korina with a 1-piece korina neck  TV Jones Pickups.  Perfect 8lb-3oz weight.  Med/heavy frets, 12″ radius and 25.5″ Scale.  The guitar comes with its original hardshell form fit G&G case & Tag.  The condition is Near Mint.  Nonsmoking and no issues.

There are S makes, builders, cloners, wannabes, etc till the cows come home.  One name is respected time and time again….Chad Underwood.  They say the mojo of a strat comes from the person who creates it.  You can give 10 people the same components and get 10 lousy sounding instruments…then you can give Chad the same bunch and it will be stellar.

Don’t believe me?….1 own ONE S-type..it is a Chad Underwood.

This one is freaking wonderful.  The Peter Florance pickups are every bit as strong and clear/sustaining as the Ron Ellis in my personal strat (save yourself $1000 in pickups).  The neck is a nice large .90 – .98….you large S neck lovers won’t want to sleep on this one.

The 5-way switch creates FIVE different sounds.   EVERY ONE of them is unique. The in-between sounds on this are freaking beautiful.

1959 Fender Stratocaster in Excellent Collector condition.  1-owner, 1-collector now me.  An amazing 100% piece that has all the goodies with it.  Detailed pictures available for serious inquiries.

People are always asking me for recommendations on ‘value’ instruments that get you pretty much to where the big budget players are.  THIS my friends is such a piece.  Hand created one at a time.  BEAUTIFUL cleans which provide the basis for adding any amp, drive or effect.  Top components such as Wolfetone Humbuckers and Grover Tuners.  Easy access to upper frets.  Balanced on lap or strap.

If these were $5k they would fly off the shelves used.  I think they are too cheap and people can’t envision that they will actually get amazing quality for so little. Take my word…this is the best value in the used market.

Ronins are completely different and additive to any collection.  The redwood creates a tone that maple/mahogany WISHES it could achieve.  The custom wound Foilbuckers (splittable too) are like a mic’d acoustic meets a tele meets a Gretsch meets a P90 meets an open sounding humbucker.  Nothing comes close.

All Ronins sound a little different. This particular one has a fantastic organic warmth that accompanies each note. This guitar has a pretty typical Ronin .89″-.95″ C-shaped neck.  The weight is just 7lbs-5oz.  The nut is 1-11/16″.

This guitar is factory aged and just looks so cool in person.  The neck feels broken in but not beat up.  The body is comfortable ergonomically.  TONALLY…just put away all your preconceived notions.  You toil choosing one of your 5 strats to play?….this is like discovering a whole new precious metal…baby.

Nacho Banos NACHOCASTER.This one weighs just 6lb-9oz and has a perfectly shaped .86-1.01″ Neck (1-Piece I might add).  The neck has no cap, meaning the board is all part of the neck. The radius is 9.5″ and the nut width is 1.65″.  The pickups read 6.77k NECK & 7.34k BRIDGE.   In the middle position you achieve the pickups in SERIES meaning they replicate a humbucker.
