James Tyler BURNING WATER
James Tyler Burning Water! One of the most iconic guitars of the boutique revolution. There is just something about the feel of a Tyler neck. Quartersawn, 1-Piece, satin finish..scallopped edges….mmmmm just feels perfect. Probably my single favorite neck. This one features a Mamyo Body (Solid not chambered).
The weight is 6lb-15oz. The neck is a Thin ’59 and it features a compound radius of 9.5″-12″. The frets are Medium Jumbo .09″-.055″. 1-5/8″ Width and of course a 25.5″ Scale. The pickups are JTS 2500 Singles and a “Secret” in the bridge.
YES it has the G&G Form Fit Logo Case (funny how many times I get that question…usually by people who then evaporate…..if it has the correct case does that mean they were looking for one that didn’t have the correct case?….one of the great remaining mysteries of our times).
2017 Nacho Banos NACHOCASTER
MMMM mmmm good! A 2017 Nachocaster in Near Mint Condition. This thoroughbred weighs in at just 6lb-9oz. Of course it is loaded with Ron Ellis pickups (my favorites because they retain chime and clarity while obtaining that organic warmth inherent in a good guitar). Perfect D-shape neck measuring .85″-1.02. 1-piece Ash Body & 1.65″ Width Maple Neck (9.5″ radius of course). The guitar is finished in a VERY thin nitro that is sunken into the wood. There is the original G&G hard case, Cert, Pouch, ashtray cover, build sheet & CD.
These guitars are the top of the relic F-style food chain. You rarely see one for sale and they never last long. Most are pre-sold before they hit the market new. These are not easy instruments to acquire. Fortunately for you, I spend my days scouring the planet whilst you sip latte and maul scones.

Gil Yaron Bolt-S
Gil Yaron is the hottest boutique builder in the past several years. His attention to tone, meticulous detail and endless pursuit of playability has made his instruments sought after by collectors, players and celebrities.
Here we have a Bolt-S model with Gil’s custom wound P90s. The tone is clear like a great strat with the volume rolled down. Turn up the volume and you can get gritty nasty. Adjust the pickup height and dial in the perfect balance. As an aside, most of the guitars I get in have pickups adjusted WAYYYYYYY too high….ever stop to think maybe you need a new AMP or PEDAL not a guitar?….anyway…these you can dial in a LOT of tonal variety just with a little teeny bit of elbow grease.
The 1-piece flame maple neck is my SINGLE FAVORITE F-style neck I’ve played. It’s silky smooth and I just fly across these frets. The weight is just 7lb-6oz. The body is Ash (looks 1 piece but not certain). 25.5″ Scale, 1-11/16″ Width and 9.5 Radius. Of course the guitar comes with its hardshell case.
Ribbecke Master Series HALFLING : 1-Off
1 off RIBBECKE Master Series Halfling which was a collaberation between Tom Ribbecke (who HIMSELF constructed this) and Larry Robinson who did the custom Marvin-the-Martian inlay. This isn’t a standard handling because Tom himself constructed it.
The neck is birdseye maple. The weight is just 6lb-13oz. It is a complete 1-off. The tone is organic, smooth and rich like the Sakashta Guitar I once owned. The body is Cherry and the top Cedar.
This guitar was most recently at another dealer (GearPlace)…I traded for it….and BOY are you lucky you’re getting it from me rather than them. FIRST OFF apparently their definition of MINT is ‘not exactly’ true…I mean it WAS ONCE mint…but mint now?….not exactly. I go through my instruments and outline what is wrong with them. This is not beat up….it has 3 “o” sized surface dings and some very light almost unseeable contact brush. The most notable difference is that the guitar HAD been advertised wtih “TOM HOLMES PICKUPS”….maybe they drove by a set on their way to my store…but when I checked they were (as the guitar left the factory) custom Duncans. I contacted said dealer (GearPlace…who advertises on Reverb & Gbase) and was told “TOO BAD ..it was that way when I got it”…..ok!…awesome!
SO, not only do I have this for THOUSANDS less than they did…you will actually get what it IS not what it drove past. That’s why people deal with me. Accurate representations and honorable if something goes wrong…..you have been educated….I rest now.
Ribbecke Halfling “Center Hole Steel String” Carved Top Acoustic!
Custom 1-off Archtop Acoustic “Halfling” made completely by Tom Ribbecke himself! This piecs has a CARVED CEDAR TOP…it isn’t a flat-top like most acoustics. The back and sides are Rosewood. The instrument took 8 years to complete; the label actually reads 2006 which was the start date…but Tom released this in 2014. The guitar is featured on his website and Facebook page. He claims it was so much work that he will never build another.
The instrument has a 1.70″ Nut Width, Grover Tuners, what appears to be an Ebony Board and a 25.5″ Scale. It is a nonsmoking piece and comes with a beautiful Reunion Blues padded case.
Tonally this is one of the finest sounding acoustics (flatpicked or fingerpicked) that I’ve owned. The low E is pronounced and clear without being overpowering. The guitar is responsive to pick attack and dynamics. You can rev this up or adjust to woody organic just with pick technique or material
An instrument of this quality and provenance comes for sale rarely. Grab it before you spend your days surfing the net for it to reappear.
Palir Pre-Production Guitar !
Rare Pre-Production Palir Semi-Hollow dating from 2012. This 1-off features unique features including Porter Powertron Pickups. McNaught DC+ SuperStrat w Brazilian Board!
2015 DTM McNaught DC+. This is a Set-through Neck Super Strat made ofr Ash Body and a Maple Neck. The Jumbo Stainless frets play like glass. There is a genuine Floyd Rose with a FLOYD UPGRADES TITANIUM BLOCK! The fretboard is Brazilian Rosewood!….find that on a luxxtone or charvel. Check out the flame top and COOL UNIQUE aging on this piece! No expense was spared in craftsmanship or components.
The guitar weights just around 8.5 pounds and comes with it’s Certificate and Hard Case. The pickups are Dimarzio Singles (Injector in Neck & Area 67 in Middle) with a WAGNER HUM in the bridge! The neck is a nice C that feels nice and slightly full without being a boat. Speaking of necks, you will LOVE the silky smooth satin finish on this maple neck. The width is 1-11/16″ and the scale is 25.5″ of course.

Leo Guitars – Standard 59 BRAND NEW – Authorized Dealer
Leo Guitars is a small boutique company headquartered in Germany and run by master luthier Darko Milojevic. Only 20 – 25 guitars a year can be produced because each is custom, 1-off and made by hand. The end result is something akin to a fine watch that is both meticulous in build and perfect in tone.
These guitars rival modern guitars at any price point. The ’59 Standard features Spanish Cedar body and neck. There is a thin nitro finish that feels like it’s part of the wood. There is a very slight aging applied to the guitar whereby you see a few gentle checks and wear spots. The whole perfectly balanced instrument weighs in at just 7lb-11 oz. There is beautiful binding on the neck and custom inlays. The top is a hand carved 5A Flame Maple. 24.75″ Scale and a 1-11/16″ Width.
This guitar has a mixed set of frets 6100 to 6105 that feel like you’re playing a Bentley…SMOOOOTH. The “C” Neck profile is comfortable and quite familiar to Gibson players. The bridge is Tone Pros. The pickups are open and clear…Kloppmann ’59. To my ears they sound like Ron Ellis humbuckers.

James Tyler STUDIO ELITE HD-P 2015
We just LOVE Tyler guitars…especially in Burning Water! This just in is a 2015 with heavily customized features. Check out the MATCHING HEADSTOCK! The satin BW finish is filled with cool colors! The guitar is rear routed with pickups mounted directly to the body. Acoustically it rings out and sings unplugged.
The neck is quartersawn Maple. The body is Alder. The guitar weighs just 7lb-6oz. Of course it comes with a James Tyler embroidered form fit hardshell case. The instrument comes with its Certificate of Authenticity. It is nonsmoking and alteration free. Condition is Mint “-” and you can see details in the attached pictures (I lay out all the specs and condition).
Tylers are individualized works of art. If you see one you like GRAB IT because no two schmears are exactly alike. And used (in this condition) they are bargains.
2015 James Tyler TYLERBLASTER
2015 James Tyler TYLERBLASTER T-style in satin Burning Water finish! This guitar is in Mint “-” nonsmoking 1-owner condition. Of course it comes with its original embroidered, form fit hardshell case & Certificate of Authenticity. The body is solid Alder. The neck & board are quartersawn Maple. The neck profile is their “Thin 59″ which measures .825 – .95″. The radius is compound at 10-12″ & the nut measures 1-9/16″. Frets..heavy as expected their typical .09 x .055”.
Pickups are a Tyler Retro Hum in the Neck and a JTT5500++ (yes ++) in the bridge). Glendale Tele bridge rounds things out. OH and Kluson tuners..yup.
If you love teles but crave something different then check this out. Tyler’s necks feel SOOOOOOOO soft. They are shaped to perfection. They fit your hand SO well. These are not just pretty guitars. Chapin JAGUAR : Rare 1-Off
Bill Chapin is known by boutique guitar lovers around the world. Bill’s works are standards in the industry and rarely come on the market. They are affordable, hand crafted and deliver the goods in playability, looks and tone.
This piece is a 1-off in Sonic Blue. ASH body and Birdseye Maple Neck w a Rosewood Board. 1.66″ Nut Width and a 24″ Scale. 12″ Radius and Med/Lg Frets. The pickups are Curtis Novak Vintage Jags and a Duncan Antiquity. The neck is more of a classic Fender “D” Profile. There are enough switching options to please any NASA scientist. Of course it comes with a hardshell case. The piece is nonsmoking and YES it has the trem bar (is that really the reason you wouldn’t buy a guitar?….they DO make replacements you know).

Collings Soco Deluxe w TV JONES & Bigsby
Collings Soco Deluxe in Excellent Nonsmoking condition with original Ameritage form fit hard case. Just 7lb-10oz. No fretwear. Almost no wear. Most would consider this Mint but we call it Mint “-“/Excellent “+” just to be good dudes. Save some serious money on a guitar that would cost thousands more new…and likely have the same wear from shop play.

2012 Thorn Deluxe Carve Top
Ron Thorn DELUXE CARVE TOP in Excellent Condition! Set Neck featuring a 1-Piece SOLID Mahogany Body. The carved curly maple top is also 1-piece! The weight is just 7lb-13oz (it is SOLID not chambered). This top is simply exceptional. SO exceptional that the guard was never even installed (Not even holes drilled)….that is the sign of a top that the builder did NOT want to hide. The board is BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD (sorry no Cities docs included). The neck is a fantastic Medium C .94-.93 which you will find familiar whether you like LPs, PRS or Fenders. The pickups are Ron’s own 80N & 86N. Lastly, and of course, the guitar has a thin nitro finish.
Tonally this sounds like it has old PAFs in it…with just a touch of bit with the volume full on. With the volume rolled off the tone is perfectly clear and not ‘farted out’. The condition is outlined in a document you will find IN THE PICTURES. Overall you can see the guitar is Excellent but upon closer inspection one will find some surface scratches and dings….nothing that I would deem significant.
2012 James Trussart RUSTY STEEL DEVILLE
James Trussart RUSTY STEEL DEVILLE in delicious “Rust-O-Magic” finish! This piece features Arcane P90 Pickups and a Double Gig Bag (Trussart Logo of course!). It is a 1-owner piece that was from a nonsmoking environment. It is in Excellent condition and weighs just 8lb-8oz.
If you are lusting after a Trussart but want to avoid the ‘new guitar price hit’ then this one is for you. Really hard to find any non-factory wear on this piece. It even comes with the unsigned Warranty Card & Certificate of Authenticity. Consider that this Scala has a 1-piece Mahogany hand carved body. 1-piece Mahogany Neck. Arcane pickups. G&G Hardshell case. 12″ Radius. Grover Deluxe Tuners. All this AND the weight comes in at an amazing 7lb-11oz. No ‘give ups’ with this piece.

Yanuziello – ENZO RED!
Near Mint conditiion YANZUZIELLO guitar in a fantastic ENZO RED finish. This is my first Yanuziello and I can tell you they live up to the billing they’ve received. These hand made artisan instruments are just so perfect tonally. If you like full clear sustaining notes then you should lust after one of these.
The body is hollowed out maple. The pickups are Lollar Gold Foils which have warmth and compliment the Maple. Check out the flame on the 1-piece maple neck! Speaking of necks this is a pefect .84″-.95″ C Profile with 1-11/16″ Width. The Brazilian Board is beautiful in color and figure. The frets look medium to me. The weight is just 6lb-1oz. Of course this piece comes with a form fit Ameritage Hard case.

2017 Hysteria T3 Silverback – Brand New
Hysteria Guitars is the new kid on the block…hand crafted 1-offs built with love and top quality components! Stainless Steel is the foundation. Oil rubbed maple necks for that worn in feeling. Lollar Pickups, Mastery Bridge, Graph Tech Nut. Vintage Caps & CTS Pots. Mono Case. Think of a Trussart with Top Shelf Components at a fraction of the cost (intro pricing) and you get the drift.
This one really has a warm fundamental (semi-hollow) but those tele pickups give it the snap and chime you dream of. Many thinlines disappoint because they become brittle and reflective…the whole point is to get them airy and open…THIS guitar achieves the objective matey!

This one features Master Grade Old Growth Salvaged Redwood body. Tonally it is what Maple/Mahogany WISHED it could sound like. Honduran Mahogany neck. Ronin Foil Pickups. Weighs JUST 5lb-6oz! Neck profile is a perfect ’59 LP shape C of .89″ to .94″

Driskill Diablo : Rare Early Model!
Rare Early DRISKILL Diablo. This was hand crafted by Joe himself before he started making his own hardware! Check out the Abalone Dots! 1-Piece Honduran Mahogany Body! Mann Trem. PRS Tuners! PRS Vintage Bass & HFS Standard Treble Pickups (Early Ones too!). 5-Way Rotory Switch.
Think PRS without the plastic bottle coating…and with organic tone…that’s what this is. Add unique styling and 1-off creation and you have yourself something that others can’t replicate.
Sounds HUGE. VERY thick and full in the bottom end. The pickup combinations allow you to nail virtually any tone you seek. Volume knob really allows you to dial in grit to spank.
1996 PRS Rosewood Limited (#10 of 100)
1996 PRS Rosewood Limited. This extremely limited edition was just 100 pieces (this is #10). VERY few were made in trans-black. This guitar is from a nonsmoking 1-owner environment. As you can see it comes with the Certificate of Authenticity, Stickers, Unsigned Warranty Card and Brochures. YES, it also comes with the original form fit LEATHER case.
The specs are all stock. McCarty Bass & Treble pickups, Scraped Binding, Gold Hardware, East Indian Rosewood Neck, Multi-part Inlaid Fretboard. This piece weighs in perfectly at 8lb-6oz.
The wear is extremely light. There are 2 spots where the gold finish is slightly worn (on the bridge pickup under the low E string and on the bridge post near the low E string). There are extremely fine “feather” type surface marks (not into finish…just the kind you see in the light) on the top under the high E string…and a few on the back.
The only issue of note is one you wouldn’t note unless I was given a note…follow? The original owner got a ding in the top…he is meticulous…it bothered him. A few years later, this PRS lover purchased a PRS Dragon from a PRS Employee…the deal was that the Dragon would be purchased if the PRS Employee could take the Rosewood LTD and get the ding out of the top. The deal was struck and a bit later, woosh…gone. I’ve been over this thing and I simply can not tell that anything was done…or what WAS done. Just there is no ding. I am telling you because I am in possession of knowledge and therefore feel it is my duty…but honestly, if you can find the repair you’re better than I am.
2015 Bludotone Bludo-Drive
Bludotone Bludo-Drive head in Near Mint non-smoking condition! This is a 100w model. Love the unique color combo on this piece. Works as it should with no mods or repairs. 2017 Ronin Badmoon – BRAND NEW
Brand New 2017 Ronin Badmoon in sexy Gloss Black! This is one of the last 2 Badmoons in production (I have a Copper finish Badmoon coming soon). Build time is over 18 months ….BUT…Ronin is NO LONGER taking custom orders. Odds of more Badmoons is slim because they take several times the work to craft than a typical Mirari or Morningstar.
The result is something from another dimension. The master-grade old growth redwood (from Ronin’s secret stash) is aged to perfection. Tonally it creates what maple/mahogany wishes it could. Redwood sounds like the perfect blend of organic and crisp whereas the typical gibson sandwich is like 2 extremes fighting.
The Ronin Foilbucker is a perfect complement to the woods. This pickup isn’t like the Lollar or flavor-of-the-week “foils” you may have seen. These are custom built from the ground up. The tone is like a microphone matched with a PAF and a Tele Pickup. Just captures every piece of tonal information you can muster. Nuance is captured remarkably. I stand by my assertion that Ronin’s are the most exciting new guitar in a decade.
