2015 Nik Huber ORCA ’59 in Near Mint Nonsmoking Condition!  Why buy new for many thousands more when you can get this nearly immaculate one?….probably because you like enriching people?…well I work thin because I have no storefront, no employees facebooking on my dime, no bathrooms for people to clog…nada…and I pass the savings on to you!   Guitars ain’t like Pawn Stars…we get great gear because we pay great prices…there are no steals in the market.  We work between the wallpaper-and-the-wall.

Ok chest thumping.  Just a beautiful instrument with the 3D ‘sounds like 2 guitars) thing that I hold as a standard for the top shelf guitars.   Haussel ’59 Pickups.   Brazilian Rosewood Board.  .92-1.00 C Profile Neck.  No fretwear.  See all the Specs & Condition in the attached picture.

Canton Allan Holdsworth Design Model in Near Mint Condition.  My understanding is that Holdsworth used Delap Guitars until he got tired of waiting for them…then he switched over to Canton.  I’ve had a Delap and this gives nothing up to them at a lot less money.

I am so excited to have yet another pair of Sakashta NOS Tribue model humbuckers.  These are obviously unobtainable except on the used market.  I have only seen a handful of these sets.  They are quite simply the best clearest most articulate open sounding humbuckers you can get vintage or modern.  Don’t ask me, RF has them too.

The last Sakashta electric guitar I can find sold for $39k & the one prior for mi-$30s.  This brand is quickly reaching the iconic level of Trainwreck Amps, Dumbles, and Vintage Gibsons.  Since the pickup is the heart of an instrument, this is a rare chance to achieve so much of the soul of the next unobtainium.

This 2-conductor set was lovingly used but not abused, modified or repaired.  It does not appear as though the covers have ever been off (nor am I willing to unsolder them to see).  Whoever acquires these is making an investment that time has demonstrated will hold up.

Ok so I have to admit…I’ve always wanted to bring a guitar with me on those travel softball weekends.  You know…your kid is in a f’ing slump despite the 321452 lessons…they have the mope going….the parents all think their little Tulip is going to the Olympics…just give me a little guitar so I can sit in the back and keep occupied (while pretending to watch).  Well if you don’t grab this quickly then my dream will come true!

My dear friend (person who commissioned this) has told me about this instrument.  I was lucky enough to finally acquire it.  You just can’t believe it is a small bodied guitar. It sits perfectly.  You have plenty of meat to hold onto.

The specs are just crazy exotic especially considering this was intended to be a functional piece.  Bolivian Rosewood Body.  5-Piece Wenge & Birdseye Maple Neck.  Heavy Brass Frets.  Custom Nordstrand Pickups.  Birdseye Maple Board.  The multi-switching system is rigorous enough to provide a variety of fun tones for play or for live/studio.

This is no toy folks. This is a guitar hand crafted to be a lifetime keepsake.

Early Scala Custom 1-off guitar with a beautiful body inlay.  This nonsmoking beauty features a Birdseye Maple Neck, Ebony Board and Mahogany/Quilted Maple Top.   The guitar is hand crafted and features the look & feel of something created not stamped out.

What I like most about this guitar is that there is a virtually limitless array of pickup combinations available.  The three white pickups are Custom Power Sensors….AND you can add what looks to be Duncans in the Bridge & Neck positions.  This has the quack, warmth, growl, snarl, sweet, gentle and crushing all within a flick of a switch or two.

The most photogenic guitar of the decade.  This 2015 Myka Doublecut was so much fun that I had to keep taking pictures.  It is just amazing how different it looks in various lighting.  You will never get tired of this beauty and you haven’t even heard it.

I’m a huge fan of David’s work.  I’ve been acquiring them for most of my business life.  You never see the same piece twice…yet somehow they are consistently fantastic sounding.  Think of how you have to try 14 LPs to find one ‘ok’ one…not so with Myka.  THAT my friends is the sign of a true luthier.

2012 Gibson Custom Shop Chambered LP VOS R8 in Excellent Nonsmoking condition.  This was owned by an artist and selected by him personally (in my mind that gives it a ‘cut above’ cache).  It was lovingly cared for and comes with the Certificate of Authenticity, Tag & Unsigned Warranty Card.   Of course there is the Original Hardshell Case.

The top on this ’58 VOS is particularly special.  It has a lot of subtle figuring along with the pronounced visible grain. Tonally it is a very nice guitar because it’s not dark or mushy as we all know these can often be.

2015 Fender Masterbuilt CRUZ 1960 Strat Relic in Excellent nonsmoking condition.  I can’t find any owner-related wear on this one but I’m sure someone will get out the jeweler lupe so we’ll grade it as Exc.   Boy Fender Masterbuilt has come a long way.  This era of production is the highest level I’ve seen since the 90s Page/Stevens Guitars.   I can see why there is such demand for John Cruz pieces.

This Alder Strat weighs in at 7lb-9oz and comes with the original hard G&G case, “Cruz Tools”, CERT (of course) and tags. The nut width is 1-11/16″. The neck is a familiar 60 “D” profile. There is no fretwear on this guitar.  9.5″ Radius makes it familiar feeling.

Something special about Cruz guitars.  This has the unplugged acoustic vibrance that we all use as a test of greatness.  The low E (my test) is clear and ringing.  This almost got squirreled away in my collection…and those who know me know I keep very little.   I’d say it’s one of the best Fender Strats I’ve had in quite some time.

Another unique hand crafted luthier creation just out of a collection.  This guitar was created as a commission piece by D Anderson.  Mr Anderson may not be a household name, but he was Bill Moll’s apprecntice.  I’ve had other D Anderson pieces and his skill across the spectrum (Archtop to rocker) tells you that he simply understands how to create a musical instrument.  These are not toys.  These are not wall hangers that photograph easily but play/sound terrible.  These are instruments created to resonate and produce soulful tones…they deliver.

This “727” was celeb owned but I have no documentation to support it…so I can tell you who owned it and you can have a warm fuzzy feeling that someone with actual talent found this to be a keeper.  It is in Excellent Nonsmoking condition (see the attached Spec/Condition Sheet for all the details).

Ever since my days of youth, the Super Strat has been near & dear to my heart.  I used to own Tony MacAlpine’s (he was my teacher before he was famous….I was the worst player in the history of mankind.  He had a room with pics of stars…he used to put his fingers over the ears of Randy Rhodes when I tried to play that stuff).  Anyway…I’ve had tons including 6 of the $25k Fender EVH creations.

One day I got to thinking…wait just a darn minute.  Most of the products on the markets are nothing more than partscasters.  Lance at LSL hand makes everything.  He cuts & shapes his bodies and necks.  LSL winds their own pickups.  The guitars are consistently fantastic and affordable.  Why don’t I work with LSL on a much needed Superstrat!?

So the concept took root…and here we have 1-of-2 that are the prototypes for this offering.  All I can say is Freaking WOW…honeslty this has the bottom end that ALWAYS used to lack in other guitars. The mids are FULL.  The intonation makes chords sound like walls of tone.  I am not exaggerating when I tell you this is the finest Super Strat I’ve ever played.
